Linen size 30/2 - hand dyed - NICOBAR PIGEON
Description
The colors of the "Nicobar Pigeon" with its beautiful feathers inspired this dye batch. (No birds were harmed in any way whatsoever.)This is a 50 yard (45 meter) skein, hand painted by me with quality dye.
Wetspun line linen, size 30/2 - the "/2" means 2 ply. The thickness compares roughly to crochet cotton size 20. Linen has slubs and is stiffer than cotton. Recommended for weaving, crochet, embroidery, or bobbin lace.
Care: machine wash, line dry, or lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.
The Procion MX dyes I used are very lightfast and colorfast.
I washed and rinsed the yarn very thoroughly after dyeing to remove any unactivated dye, so it should not need any prewashing before using it in your project.
The yarn will be sent in skein form. This is a unique, individually hand painted yarn. Hand dyed batches will vary.
