Under Water - Original Monoprint

Description

This is an original monoprint from a series of five I created using leaves, string and a feather. In beautiful bright blue with white and green this will look stunning in a modern white frame.

A monoprint is a completely one off piece of art, but in this case I developed the theme using similar colours and objects in each print. I love the watery feeling and the textures in this print.

Monoprints are the most painterly method of printmaking techniques, a monoprint is essentially a printed painting.
The beauty of monoprinting is in it's spontaneity and its combination of printmaking, painting and drawing. The characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike!
