Lamia The Witchaerie Pendant or Brooch

An original creation from my unique collection of Domino Jewelry Designs. Designed and handcrafted by me, Leigh Snaith-Brunton ~ The Sharpie Domino Queen.

"Lamia" is one of my Witchaeries, an original one-of-a-kind creation. She can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch or she can be used as a hanging ornament. Her name means Witch or Vampire in Latin. She is an exotic creature with a Southwestern flavour. Her image is hand stamped on a super-sized domino and coloured with Sharpie markers in my signature ‘Sharpie Domino Queen’ style. Her bat-inspired wings are made from acetate printed with the image of the night sky, in shades of blues, purples and black with streaks of lightning metallic silver. The colour of her wings continues up the sides of the domino. She has dimensional silver jewels on her necklace and belt and a dimensional silver bat embellishment as her familiar. Her tail is a dark periwinkle tassel.

The back of the creation is finished with purple suede paper and a silver-tone dual purpose pin back which also has a bail for attaching a necklace. The bail is an open loop so the pendant just slips onto the necklace. I designed a matching necklace for this Witchaerie too which can be seen in the photos. I decided to make the necklace as an optional piece and can be purchased directly from me. *Please see the below for further details.*

The entire domino is sealed to protect the design and the front has a glass-like glossy finish. The domino measures 1 1/4 inches x 2 1/2 inches. The overall measurement of the Witchaerie is 7 1/2 inches in length by 3 3/4 at the widest point.

I designed and handcrafted the necklace to go with Lamia and is 18 inches in length. It is made from silver beading wire with glass beads and silver crimp beads with a silver-tone screw barrel clasp.
