And that’s exactly how Joe Carabeo and Carolyn Belefski, the creators of Black Magic Tales like it! On 24 Hour Comics Day 2008, they spent 24 hours creating a new Black Magic Tales from scratch. The outcome was the creation of the most out-of-this-world Black Magic Tales story yet—To The Moon.

Huddled together with other comic book creators at Fairfax, Virginia’s Laughing Ogre Comics, Curls Studio came armed to the event with only their pals Roxy, Dean, and Black Magic by their side. There was no story and nothing existing on a page to tell them where this trio of career criminals would be heading, but at the end of the 24 hour comic book marathon, team Curls Studio created a time bomb of a Black Magic Tales story.

To The Moon gets rolling with our heroes car breaking down in the middle of the desert. What follows is a night of wild chases, betrayals, explosions, FBI agents, aliens, and a giant reward check... the type of craziness that can only been read in the Black Magic Tales world. If you have never read a Black Magic Tales book yet, To The Moon is the book to get your hands on.
