This cameo is comprised of cast resin, in a rich ivory detail and darkest black background. It depicts the classic lady in profile, hair upswept and immaculately coiffed, dressed in a filmy Classical revival gown. This is the quintessential image that comes to mind when one says "cameo".

This is mounted into a hand-beaded setting, using fire-polished Czech glass faceted beads in black. As it turns in the light, it gives subtle glitter and flash while worn. The entire piece measures in at approximately 2 inches long by 1.3 inches wide.

Both durable and lovely, this is ideal for the lady reenactor for the Civil War period, or those who love the dignified beauty of the Victorian period.

For those curious about such things, this cameo would be suitable for "half-mourning", which would be a step above (perhaps three to six months out of) full mourning. Half-mourning allowed for the inclusion of a few colors, including white, ivory, gray, and lavender.
