Flux Chair

Description

A very simple design which was recently entered in the 5th Annual Vellum Furniture Competition at Calpoly University. The chair is very comfortable and the wooden slats can be easily removed for storage, transport, or maintenance. The frame is made out of one piece of 1/2" steel rod. This chair was built and designed by two Architecture students from Calpoly San Luis Obispo. This is the 4th piece of furniture to be designed and built by the the pair.

The chair can easily handle up to 275 lbs of weight and probably more but it hasn't been tested past that point.

This piece has reached the final iteration, these pictures show the frame with its new dimensions as well as the final finish and connections.
