Hand Spun Art Yarn

Here is one of my favorite colorways spun up for the second time in 2009! I really wanted to "retire" this color in 2009, but I can't seem to stay away from it! So, I have decided I will continue to spin it in 2009, but it will be slightly different each time AND I will not take custom orders for it.

This is a hand spun art yarn, spun by me from hand dyed merino wool, hand dyed by the Yarn Wench in color "plumgrove". This batch is a bit darker and the chartreuse color is a bit more pronounced, which I also accented by including snippets of Skacel "Punk" yarn in a bright green/chartreuse color. Other yarns included are shades of green (olive and lime), dark plum, burgundy and a couple of yellows. Plied with the same bright green thread as always.

Wraps per inch: 5-7
Gauge per inch: 1.5-3
Recommended needles: 11 or higher (metric: 9)
Recommended hook: M or higher

Bulky/super bulky weight

Hand wash cold, dry flat
