This wheel thrown cake stand is glazed in a deep green glaze with acorn brown birds.

I consider this item a second because the glaze was put on too thick before firing, and it popped off on the edges and crawled underneath, leaving some raw clay exposed. This is still a beautiful, functional cake stand, and a great deal, knocked down from its usual price of $130.
