This original painting will come wired and ready to hang, however unframed.

As an artist, I have been considering how we, as physical, sentient beings, are affecting and being affected by our surroundings and events (real and imagined), and struggling with our disappointments and shortcomings (physical and otherwise). These observations are woven into deceptively simple visual narratives, injected with some notion of the absurd and surreal: directed paint drips, “fur”, written and then obscured notations, implied cartoon bubbles, viscera, muted voices, and incomplete thoughts.

This painting was inspired by the story of a family of three cats who were found dead in a garbage can by animal rights advocates. The story touched me so much that I felt compelled to pay tribute to these animals. The result was this painting, which also includes a girl wearing a fur cape.
