Description

This stack of Turquoise and Mocha, is a variation of my original Colours Stack of rings, only much skinnier, and with subdued colors.

Delicate when worn alone, but quite the contrary when worn in numbers. 20 skinny rings with soft, subtle coloring will fit comfortably when stacked on your finger. Half of them are given a mocha patina, and the other half are given a turquoise patina. Wear them as you will, in any pattern you'd like! Wear a few by themselves; or alongside other favorite rings; or wear them all!

You will receive a stack of 20 brass rings (10 mocha, 10 turquoise). These are also available in my store in a half stack (10 rings).

Rings will be made to order in your size. Please indicate your size upon checkout in the "comments to seller" section.

COMMON QUESTION/CONCERN:
Will my fingers turn green from these brass rings?

ANSWER:
The brass rings have a few layers of patina as well as a layer of sealant and wax, which coat the brass and act as a barrier between your skin and the brass, so no, you don't have to worry about your finger turning green.

As with all of my pieces, please expect anywhere from 1-1/2 - 3 weeks for delivery, depending on how many orders I have in progress, and the piece of jewelry you order. (Rings are made to order in your size, and will take at least 2 weeks). You can always send me a message if you want a more accurate idea of how long your piece will take. I apply 3-4 layers of patina to all of my patinated pieces, and I allow each layer one full day to react with the metal and also to dry, before applying another layer. When all layers of patina are dry, I then add a "top coat" which is either a matte, semi-gloss, or glossy finish, depending on the look I want. This top coat acts as a sealant or protectant for the patina, and also creates a barrier between the patina and your skin.

Patinas are not easily controlled, and many factors contribute to the final color or coverage. Please keep that in mind when you order. Your colors may not look exactly like the photo, unless the description specifically states that you will receive the exact piece in the photo. Don't worry, if you order something blue, you will not receive something red. The coloring will never be that far off, but if you order something turquoise, for instance, it may have a little more blue or green than shown in the photograph.

If you don't know much about patinas, I'd like to give you an idea of what to expect. I like to compare patinas to painting. If you can imagine painting a wall in your home with good old fashioned wall paint - you usually use 2-3 coats of paint right? Say you are painting your blue walls red (with no primer), well the first few layers you put down are not going to cover the blue, you will still see blue coming through the red. The third, maybe fourth coat will finally make your walls a solid red. The patina used on your piece of jewelry is not ever going to be a solid, uniform color like the finished red walls. The patina will be more like the first 2 coats with other colors (and sometimes the metal itself) peeking from underneath the main color, sort of like a watercolor, varying in color and concentration.

If you have any questions about my jewelry or the process used, don't hesitate to send me a message.
