Snowmen Celebrate the best part of winter; Fun and Childish wonder.

These snippets of winter call the wearer to experience the wonder & pleasures of a child, as they pop in natural shades of white from a dark natural brown or gray wool background. The average size is 1 3/4" by 2 3/4" with the snowman hang over to make about 3"

Their hats, mittens and gloves are a rainbow of styles and colorful shades, of which you may order in even more choices to match your wardrobe. The yellow stocking cap snowman has a traditional silver pin but the rest are waiting for their new host to decide on a pin back or magnet back.

The Purple Top Hat Snowman has a magnet pin back and his hat is designed to allow a chain or ribbon to run thru it to be worn as a pendant.

Needle felting is the process of agitating washed wool roving with a wickedly sharp barb needle and sculpting it into shape. A special barbed needle to felt with and several different high quality fibers - Corridale, Merino, llama, alpaca, angora, mohair and other animal fibers to achieve the correct colors and dyed fibers of wool. Each portrait is made without the use of patterns or kits. The sculpting is done by poking the wool fibers thousands of times until they interlock and felt together and the artistry of the shape and personality appear. As with any art form, sometimes the “woolies” takes on a life of its own and leads the artist to its final beautiful sculpture that can not be exactly copied or mass produced, even by the artist.

Remember the Needle Felted Woolies are for the adult collector and not toys. These look lovely mounted it in a shadow box frame.The edges and back of the sculpture is fully felted and finished so that it can be mounted in a shadowbox, on an hand beaded baile for a pendant, gold metal pin or magnet, please request preference at time of order.
