David H. McConnell founded the California Perfume Co. in 1886. In 1939, its name was changed to Avon Products. Inc. because the rolling hills and green valleys of his first plant and laboratory in Suffern, NY reminded him of the charming Shak esperean countryside through which the river Avon flows

This is a beautiful keepsake with the original name printed on the box and dated.
Inside holds a beautifully designed glass falcon filled with Arbutus Perfume. Please note: The top is silver (metal), has 1979 on it and the details are awesome!

The Bottle has original sticker with a serial number.
The falcon measures: 5"
