This beautiful necklace is completely different from what I initially envisioned. It just goes to show you that even when you think you've got the perfect design, your subconscious can take over! :) Personally, I'm happy mine did because the final results blow what I consciously had in mind away!

~Wearability~
I wear each piece I make for a day so I can better communicate the wearability of a piece. The following commentary is, of course, merely my observations. I'm sure each person can tolerate different things for different periods of time.

What I love about this piece is that it looks SO complicated, but it's SO easy to wear! You just snap it on and go. It's light, easy to place to where you want it, and doesn't get all bent out of shape. I was able to wear it all day and night seeing as I had an evening event to go to after work. I got so many compliments too!

~Materials~
The focus of the necklace is a rather lovely & large glass pendant that I enhanced with two additional drops. The pendant measures 1 5/8" by itself. With the two drops added, it comes to a fabulously attention grabbing 4"! To compliment the pendant, I ran three different strands. One is a ribbon strand that gets run into the second strand which has some lovely aqua, green, white, silver and copper seed beads, acrylic copper colored nuggets and some large green glass beads. The third strand features more of the green glass beads placed asymmetrically and some beautiful non-tarnish copper wire-wrapping work. I actually chose to wire-wrap the copper at a later time because I was concerned that the wire by itself would eventually break from being overly bent. Because I chose to add to the piece, I am not charging for the additional 2.5 hours of labor the wrapping took. It's my gift to my customers to ensure a strong and lasting product! Everything is held together with strong antique copper crimp ends and an antique copper lobster clasp. The necklace measures 24.5" from tip to tip with the pendant right in the middle.

This necklace is so versatile. It can enhance a simple casual outfit or totally vamp up an evening look. The colored pendant contains three neutral colors, black, brown and grey and so it can go with almost anything.
