Cattle are a powerful symbol for the Xhosa people and represent wealth and a deep part of their history and myth. This cattle piece was stitched by a craft collective called Keiskamma which was developed to create income and dignity for the people of this are.
African Threads donates 15% of the profits from the sale of this piece to the Grandmother-t-Grandmother Campaign support grannies in Africa who care for the millions of AIDS orphans.
