Montessori Hanging Toys for Babies - Hanging Bell and Hanging Ring

I only wish I had figured out how to make these when my daughter was younger.

These toys are based on the hanging toys from the Assistant To Infancy Montessori Training for ages 0 to 3. These toys are hung above the infants movement area or an place where your infant has freedom of movement.

The straps of both, as well as the covering for the bell, are crocheted with cotton yarn. At the top of each strap there is a piece of elastic and which allows for some give when the toys is pulled on. There is also a ring at the top for ease of hanging.

Included with the bag is an information card that offers suggestions for how to hang the toys and some additional information.

Offer to your infant at around 3 months.

Their purpose is for batting and grasping.

The bell gives the infant the experience of being able to move an object that makes a sound.

The ring offers the opportunity to work towards intentional grasping.

For safety reasons, when your infant begins to roll over, please remove these toys from her environment.
