The Tree of Life is mentioned in the Book of Genesis, in which it has the potential to grant immortality to Adam and Eve, in Proverbs where it's a simile for a blessing.

Etz Chaim, Hebrew for "Tree of Life", is a common term used in Judaism. The expression, found in the Book of Proverbs, is figuratively applied to the Torah itself.

Whatever your descent, the symbol of the tree is universal. Intertwined with the earth, it's life cycle similar to ours in that as a young shoot it stands straight and tall and is flexible, and as it ages it becomes bent over and fragile.

I hope you'll enjoy wearing this Tree of Life as much as I've enjoyed bringing it to "life." Copper wire encircles the 2" (5 cm) pendant; the Fancy Jasper chips are wired on with brass wire to form the trunk and branches of the tree. Large blocks and beads of Fancy Jasper ascend the 18" (45.75 cm)necklace to the clasp, featuring copper, silver and 14kt GP beads.

The earrings are just as extraordinary. The 2" (5cm) dangles feature matching jasper beads with miniature 3/4" (2 cm) tree of life pendants on brass and copper wire.
