Hand Turned Segmented Goblet

Description

This Goblet is made of Cherry, Maple, with Purpleheart. accents. This will truly be a conversation piece in your home. As you can see from the picture the lighter wood is maple, the darker is cherry and the beautiful band that surrounds the goblet is purpleheart. Many hours go into a segmented project, cutting all the seperate small block that will form the pattern. Hope you enjoy this unusual piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. The Goblet is not meant to hold liquid nor be cleaned with soap and water. Use a soft cloth for cleaning. The goblet measures 8.5" tall, mouth opening 4.5", diameter center bowl is 6" and the base is 4" in diameter. Two coats of lacquer followed by two coats of wax were applied to finished piece.
