Description

Here is an illustration of a giant tiger riding a tricycle. I call her "Tigerilla". I painted this beast in graphic design school. Imagine riding down the street and a giant tiger steals your trike and rides away laughing. Size 4"x 3" on 60mil archival magnetic vinyl.

Since 1996 I have signed and numbered over 29,100 pieces. I was drawn to the magnetic media, because no other artist was using it the way I was. I saw other artist sticking a magnet to their art, I thought why not stick my art to the magnet. 12 years later I have found a few other artist using the magnetic vinyl in their own way, but no other artist in the world has used it like me. Everybody's style is unique. I still haven't found another magnet artist as prolific as myself.

If you look up my last name, Gauss, in the dictionary, it actually means unit of magnetic energy. I'm a distant cousin of the mathematician Karl Friedrich Gauss. He discovered the mathematical theory of magnetism. So in a way I'm following my destiny.
