hand embroidered upcycled brooch--cross my little recycled heart

Description

The background fabric on this pin is repurposed from one of my favorite shirts of all time--all cotton, batiked and stamped fabric--it got torn beyond repair, and I couldn't bear to throw it out. Now it's been stitched with hand-dyed cotton floss, and reborn as a brooch.

Though it has a lot of presence, this pin is very light to wear. Two tie tack pins give you plenty of control over how it hangs. Great on a jacket or bag, or dress up the front of a t-shirt. Comes with its own frame so that even on days you aren't wearing it, you can still show it off--out on your dresser or hanging from the wall.

Approximately 1 3/4" x 1 3/4", finished with a lavender seed bead border, backed in cotton muslin, signed and dated.
