It's really more like one quarter the size of the original if you go by weight and volume, a true measuring. You liked my full size model of the fish walker... so here's the wee, itsy sorta bitsy version ... the biggun's little brother! Alike in almost every detail except the claw hand and the fact the arm is extended, this the mini version is only about 2 3/4" high by 5" long (mainly do to the long, extended arm and claw hand) by 1 1/2" wide (2 1/2 centimeters to an inch)!

What do the intelligent creatures (ahem... people, even if they are actually fish) of the sea do when they want to explore terra firma? Use their latest Bipdelal ExAqua Walkers of course! These self contained aquariums on legs will be popping out of Earth's oceans by the millions over the next couple of years!

These very sturdy walkers (hey, how do those land animals balance anyway!) are made with powerful mechanical legs with a foot and ankle system that has MANY joints as well as overall a broad stance. A "fish eye" domed front view port allows for a wide angle of visual exploration A top hatch allows for entry and exit (under water). A small fish tail rudder, is, well, normal, is it not?

Two small nostrils above the dome allow for the intake of dry air to be mixed with the internal watery environment. The poweful, claw like hand grabber below has a very long arm and is fully extended. Connected to this is a strong spot light. Sensors abound inside this marvel of ichthylogical machinery made from spun copper, a supmarine (above water) vehicle taller than a man and ready for action!

Made almost 100% from wood unless stated otherwise (I sometimes use tiny amounts of other things) I use paint and many finishes, often metallic, and make sure a lot of details shine through, often even the wood grain itself despite high tech themes. They maintain an often retro, sometimes even rustic look and feel to them, like an "olde worlde" toy or something (some more so than others ... I am told that surprisingly many do not even look like they are wood, but like metal or some manmade material... you can usually tell by the photos).

These collectable pieces are generally meant for display or adult use and NOT for young children to play with. Do to their hand made and finished nature as well as the natural wood and materials used some variations are of course normal.
