November, handwoven scarf

Description

Part three of a series of three scarves inspired by fall here in Maine. November, when the fall colors are muted and everything begins to turn brown. The air turns crisp as do the leaves and winter is on the horizon.

This gorgeous scarf was woven on my 4 shaft macomber loom using deliciously soft rayon chenille. The warp is various shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown with hints of turquoise (from a veriagated yarn in the warp) and the weft is a veriagated yarn in shades of brown that creates a subtle changing pattern thruought the scarf.

Made of 100% rayon chenille, it measures 60" (152cm) long plus fringe, and 9.25" (24cm) wide. It is thin, but tightly woven resulting in a lightweight but very warm scarf, sure to compliment your outfit and keep your neck cozy warm even on the coldest days.
