Swallowtail butterfly light switch plate - Original design fabric

Description

This is a light switch plate, 4.5 x 2.75 inches with the single hole in the center for the light switch. I covered it with my original design fabric. I took a photograph of an anise swallowtail butterfly which we hatched from an egg we found on the fennel in our garden. We released the butterfly after I shot a closeup photograph of it resting on a purple butterfly bush (buddleia) bloom. I kaleidoscoped the photo, and printed the design on pre-treated cotton using pigment inks for longevity. I adhered the fabric to the plate with a strong adhesive.
