Description
Sea Sock gets its name from sea cell, delightful fiber created from seaweed. This yarn is a 70% superwash merino, 30% seacell blend with 378 yards in a 4 oz skein. At a very bouncy fingering weight, gauge is about 8 sts/" on US#1 needle.Prophets of Persia colorway, named for a fantastical Mardi gras ball from my youth, features soft, rich greens with a touch gold. Sea Sock is super squishy and takes dye differently creating a lovely heathered look with little seasilk slubs and a fabulous sheen. Socks are, of course, a perfect project for this yarn, but don't forget hats, mitts, scarves and baby and kids' clothes?
