I made this handbound journal with a lovely black elk skin cover--it's thin and buttery soft, with lots of texture. This journal has a lovely, soft, tactile feel and a soft sided, wrap-around design with matching strap to protect the pages. I used Irish linen thread to create a medieval style binding with exposed stitching on outer spine.
The open book lays flat, making it easy to use. High quality 50 lb sketch paper, acid free and archival. Pages are hand-torn for old-world feeling. Perfect for writing, drawing with pencil, pen, charcoal and pastel.
