Darned Cool Funnybook Covers Tissue Box Cover No. 3

Description

This tissue box cover was created starting with a paper-mache base made of sturdy recycled material (made in the Phillipines). The pictures were obtained from old and damaged comics and affixed to the box cover using decoupage glue and techniques. The entire tissue box cover is covered with multiple layers of a water and alcohol resistant polyurethane protective coating. Cover measures 5 x 5 x 5.5 inches.

The tissue box cover is decorated miniature reproductions of the covers of classic funnybooks (mostly 1960’s issues). These covers were clipped from ads for upcoming issues from that comic book publisher who puts “D” before “C.” All of your favorite heroes are represented – the guy who runs fast, the dude who lives underwater, the ghost-like one, the man who is super and many, many more. You’ll get a lot of enjoyment (and not a few flashbacks) from the time spent closely perusing these classic comic covers from yesteryear.

But wait! That’s not all you get. Anybody can decorate the part of an item that’s going to be seen all the time. But this amazing tissue box cover is not only decorated on the outside but is also COMPLETELY covered on the inside and out (see pictures) and is not only functional but also makes a nice display piece. It fits over a cube sized box of tissues that are pulled through an opening in the top (most major brands have tissues in this size).

This tissue box cover is THE perfect gift for that hard-to-please superhero fan and funnybook collector – he definitely doesn’t have one of these in his collection.
