Story: Black Bamboo Blue Cat is the seventh in my Here Kitty series and features for only the second time the
enigmatic, backwards-glancing incarnation of Here Kitty.

Inspired by Chinese and Japanese brush paintings and the Buddhist philosophy that inspired those
cultures, this work melds East and West into a peaceful yet engaging work. The bamboo is admired in Asian cultures for its strength and integrity; the black bamboo is a strikingly beautiful example of this graceful grass, which has the patience and power to grow through rocks.

Shining with the gold of the heavens, this image is a work of art befitting any space that honors honor, and the presence of mind to wait.
