"The Oceanic Matinee"

The buzzing audience of various colored fish, slithering eels, prickly urchins, and frenzied sharks grew quieter as the small shorebird took to the sandy stage. Donning a nautical red cap, and a glazed nervous stare, he waited to begin his performance.

This is a bit of a Jacques Cousteau/Steve Zissou tribute piece. I do love those salty, crusty sea fellas. Yes sir. It's important to note that the surface is indeed a bit shiny on this one, and so any white "flecks" you see in the photos are purely light reflections off the glaze.

Size: painting approx. 3.5” x 5”

A completely one-of-a-kind original painting. Done in acrylic paint on a wood laminate tag, aged for a vintage look and feel, and coated in a protective glossy sealer for depth and shine. Would look marvelous hung on a wall by itself or grouped with various other works for an eclectic appearance (I sometimes even like to prop these smaller, thinner paintings in my antique typewriter for a unique and eclectic display!). Signed and dated on the back.
