Purple Skully Tree - a beaded Christmas decoration

I made this Christmas tree using richly-coloured purple glass beads, and grey plastic skull beads, on steel wire. It measures 7cm (just under 3") at its widest point and (excluding the loop of cord it hangs from) 9cm (3.5") high. The steel wire I've used has a much warmer, yellowish tone than is normally seen in steel, giving an almost golden colour which compliments the purple beads well. The purple cord this decoration hangs from also tones well with these beads.

Why not buy a skully Christmas tree? Not every Christmas decoration scheme is traditional, after all. If you're a Gothic girl, you might want a darker look to your home at Christmas, or if you know someone that leans that way, it would make a great gift for them too. Also, if like rich colours and quirky details, this piece would also fit in well. It could be hung by a window to catch the sunlight, on a wall or perhaps on a door, or of course on your Christmas tree.
