Itajime Shibori Silk Scarf OOAK

Description

Luxurious winter weight silk scarf. Outside is made of heavy woven silk in a hounds tooth pattern. The hounds tooth is mostly beige and black with delicate threads of pink and light blue. It is lined with soft Habotai silk hand dyed using Itajime Shibori in three brilliant pinks. The itajime creates a bold offset square pattern of the medium pink shot through with dark pink and outlined with white corners all on a light pink ground.
In Itajime Shibori fabric is folded, pressed, clamped and painted with dyes to create a OOAK pattern. Even if I tried I would never get the same result, dyes have a mind of their own and never perform the same way twice.
The scarf measures 12.5” wide by 61” long and is suitable to be used as a winter scarf or shawl (silk is very warm for its weight)

Hand wash or wash using the gentle cycle on cold without worries
