I love this yarn base. It's similar in feel and bounce to my Meanie yarn, but it's a 100% superwash merino. It takes the dye beautifully and has a soft sheen to boot. It's a three-ply yarn with a twist similar to my Meanie base. I love dyeing and working with this yarn--it certainly deserved the name of "yeah oh yeah sock."


This is a kettle-dyed colorway. Kettle dyeing produces unique results; even if several skeins are in the same dye bath, they will all be different. Kettle dyeing produces differing amounts of color on various parts of the yarn; therefore, there will be lighter areas of colors, even white in same cases, and darker areas of color.

Please also note that the skein in the picture is representative of the one you will receive. This is a kettle-dyed colorway--no two skeins will be exactly alike, and there will be slight variations of the color throughout the skein.

I always handwash my socks regardless of fiber content, but you may machine wash this yarn and lay flat to dry. This yarn works up beautifully on needle sizes 1 or 2. The yardage is enough for a pair of socks, but as different patterns require different amounts of yarn, you may want to check your yardage requirements before venturing.

I take care to ensure that colors are truly represented in my photographs, but please know that colors vary by computer monitor.
