Description

Soft and bouncy natural colored fiber is a creamy, lightly heathered off-white (seems to be cream or oatmeal depending on lighting). This lovely combed top comes to you courtesy of the critters of lovely Ewephoria Farms of Lawrence, Kansas, birthplace of my brand new wee little spinner's flock.

EWEPHORIC is a blend created by the fabulous Tina, Ewephoria's shepherd and resident fiber junky. It's 2/3 Ewephoria merino and 1/3 Ewephoria shetland and local alpaca.

It overdyes beautifully, with richer tones than you'd get with plain white fiber. Treat it gently in dyeing, as small-mill combed top is a much finer, delicate product than dense commercial combed top.

Unlike mass-produced combed top, the small-batch stuff has the loft and bounce of roving, but the silky nep-free and VM-free glory of top. Best of both worlds! Yay!

This makes a lovely yarn of any weight and is a treat to spin. Price is for 4 ounces. It comes in a resealable plastic bag; if you'd prefer to skip the bag, just let me know.
