Primitive Folk Art Angel Doll
Description
This extreme primitive angel doll is handmade by Old World Primitives with muslin that has been coffee stained, sanded, stained and then sanded again to give her a time-worn and primitive look. She flies through the air with her red plaid homespun wings, and carries a sprig of artificial pine greens with red berries around her right hand.Her angel face is painted white, she has vintage buttons for eyes, and her nose and mouth are hand sewn. Cinnamon and nutmeg are rubbed into her face, body, and limbs to add shading and give her a great scent. She has bits of stained string for hair, and a string to help her fly. This primitive folk art angel doll was made using a Netty LaCroix pattern, and measures approximately 22 inches long by 7 inches high.
