Lucky Green Red and Calico Cats Nekos of Well Being ACEO Print

This card is from an original mixed media print, by me, DS Irvin, titled "The Nekos of Well Being" picturing three of the lucky felines floating through space on their golden cushions.

Most of my cards come with a small story, written at the time the original artwork is created. This is printed on the backs of the cards, along with the title of the piece and date it was created. They are hand signed "DS Irvin" which is how I sign my original prints and artwork and are hand numbered. This is #8. The story for this artwork reads: "Aptly titled because Green is for good health, Red wards off illness (and some say evil spirits as well) and the Calico cat is for all around good luck (luckiest of all they say). The Green and Red Nekos each have a paw raised to good fortune and each is holding a gold buddha, the Calico Neko has both paws raised for double the effect as the moon relaxes in the background. Each is seated on a gold cushion as they drift through a starry Universe."

This open edition ACEO (which stands for Art Cards, Editions & Originals) measures the standard 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and is laminated. I choose to laminate cards which are prints and don't include any hand enhancing or painting as it makes them far more durable, increasing their longevity, and enriches the colors.

This card was printed with a color laser printer on acid free cover stock. My ACEO cards are in no way mass produced, I print, laminate, and hand cut each one in my studio. The ghosted watermark does not appear on the actual print.
