Vineyard Mitts

Description

This pattern is an excellent project for the advanced begginer lookign for a new challenge. These gloves remind me of the colors in a vineyard with their grapes of purple bobbles, entwining vines of tan cables and leafy green in the main body. But imagine them worked in bright primary colors as a gift for a favorite school teacher to wear outside at recess, or pastels for a romantic look. You could even work them up in a single creamy white to echo classic Aran style sweaters.
If you’ve mastered the basics and want to try a new challenge, this is a great introduction. The gloves are small enough that you get a little sample of the techniques in it without the commitment of a larger project. If you are a more advanced knitter these can be a quick relaxing project. If you want you can even adapt the pattern to be knit in the round to eliminate that pesky, end of project seaming.
