Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and has many distinct coffee growing regions. Ethiopian and Sumatran are my two very favorite coffee beans so I thought I would share with you one of my favorite varieties as a single origin coffee.

All coffee is fair trade organic and roasted to order and stored and shipped to your door in recycled paper kraft tin tie bags so there is no plastic or airlock. That means that this coffee, like all good coffee, is meant to be enjoyed IMMEDIATELY not to sit on the shelf at a store until it is eventually picked up and taken home.

My coffee beans are roasted the way that I like them, light roasts that preserve the integrity of the bean origin and not the carbon-y charred flavor like some larger roasters you may have tried. People often tell me that they like “stronger” coffee but that does not necessarily have anything to do with the roast but more to do with the kind of coffee and the amount your add to the brew.

What do I use to brew coffee you ask? I have gone through drip coffee machines and French Press but last year I found the Aeropress. It is the most amazing (and affordable) way to brew a fantastic cup of coffee with really easy clean up. It is cross between a vacuum coffee pot and French Press. It is also great for traveling all you need is your beans and some hot water for an impressive clean cup of coffee.
