Wrist Cuff Queen Anne's Lace Wool Cuff
Description
Queen Anne's Lace is technically a weed. But it is one of my favorite flowers. Usually when you find it the centers are a dark color. When you find one with a red center it is very unusual and folklore says that it is lucky. Queen Anne's Lace got its name supposedly when Queen Anne was working on her needlework, pricked her finger and a small drop of blood fell on the weed...thus Queen Anne's Lace.Various sizes of Queen Anne's Lace flower heads including one lucky red centered flower. Beige felted wool, lined with linen. Straight stitches and french knots comprise the flowers. The closure is made with loops of wool, the same color as the cuff and I use vintage buttons from my collection to create the closure.
I design the patterns for these cuffs and then hand embroider them. No two are ever exactly the same, since I am doing this embroidery free hand from my drawn design.
By moving the button the cuff could be adjusted from 6.5 to 7 inches. The buttons used may be different than pictured, but will still be complimentary.
