Red Shino Starry Night Mug
Description
This reminds of stars peeking through on one of those hot, late summer nights...Made on a potter's wheel with dark stoneware clay, this beautiful little cup is decorated in a earthy red Shino glaze.
On the inside, the glaze shows off where my fingers left imprints as I pressed out against my hand-carved star stamps.
Balanced and light, this mug stands 3" tall with a 4" diameter mouth. It holds around 8 oz.
It was fired in a kiln to over 2400 degrees (Cone 10).
All of my pottery is food safe, as well as microwave and dishwasher safe.
