Icy Blue
Description
This is another roundy vase,thrown from the get go ..glazed and fired at my studio.Its made from a dark stoneware clay which you can see through the glaze in certain translucent areas.
The glaze on this is very similar to one of my favorites,Korean Blue celedon But this is not!! Its a cone 6 oxidation. I love how it feathers and gets more transparent in places.
I have also "pushed out' areas on he form as I finished the vase on the wheel ,so it is deliberatly not symetrical...me being the oposite of tight.
anyhoo...the vase is 6" tall,7" at widest and the opening is 2"
