My Winter Fairy Facial Elixir is a wonderful hand blended concoction made of organic sunflower oil, organic rosehip seed oil, organic pumpkin seed oil, organic pomegranate seed oil and vitamin E (a natural preservative and antioxidant)

This oil can be used once or twice a day, alone or complemented either by you usual moisturizer (oil, cream or lotion) or by one of my natural creams (wise woman, triple goddess or faery...all listed in my shop).

I recommend this oil for normal to dry and mature skin types.

Sunflower oil is an oil wealthy in Oleic acids with high amounts of Vitamins A, D, and E, also has beneficial amounts of lecithin, and unsaturated fatty acids. Deeply nourishing and conditioning for the skin and it is highly recommended for recipes designed to treat dry, weathered, aged, and damaged skin. Sunflower oil has a pleasant scent and is easily absorbed and applied.

Rosehip seed oil is naturally rich in essential fatty acids. Research in Chile has shown that rosehip seed oil is a tissue regenerator, helping to prevent signs of aging, reducing scar tissue, and minimizing wrinkles. Use for all skin types, especially dry and/or mature skin.

Pumpkin seed oil is one of the most nutritional oils available, and is an excellent source of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and sterols. It contains Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which are known to promote energy levels, brain function, and overall health and vitality. It also contains high levels of Vitamin E, as well as Vitamins A and C, Zinc, and other trace minerals and vitamins. Pumpkin seed oil is a highly nourishing and lubricating oil, and is useful for all skin types. This is a highly nourishing oil, especially good if used to combat fine lines and superficial dryness and to prevent excess moisture loss.

Pomegranate seed oil is an extremely rich and nutritious oil. Not only does pomegranate seed oil contain high levels of anti-oxidants that fight free radicals and skin aging, but the oil is also a potent source of punicic and ellagic acids. Because of these properties, pomegranate seed oil is used to heal, protect, and moisturize dry, cracked, mature, and irritated skin, bring elasticity back to the skin, and for eczema and other skin problems. Pomegranate seed oil is commonly used in cosmetic products to revitalize dull or mature skin, assist with wrinkles, and to soothe minor skin irritations. Without moisture, wrinkles become more abundant and pronounced, the skin looks tight and lacks luster. Pomegranate seed oil adds moisture, has natural estrogenic properties, anti-oxidants, is anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, improves skin elasticity, and protects the skin. It provides relief from minor skin irritations and inflammation, including dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and sunburned skin. The conjugated fatty acids give it strong anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce swelling and ease muscular aches and pains.(200 pounds of fresh pomegranates are used to produce just one pound of pomegranate seed oil!)
