It can be challenging to find a facial cleansing product that isn't chock full of strong surfactants - bad news for delicate skin and the environment, too. Natural cleansers are easy on your skin, the environment, and your wallet, too!

As for myself, I sell items that I use in my own home, on my own skin. I require my products to be made from the best organic-sourced ingredients that I can find, because not only is that the best for my skin, but it offers the least impact on the environment.

The Eco-Scrub/Masque is a purifying blend that can be mixed with honey, yogurt, water, or my own Apple and Herb Vinegar Toner to make an invigorating masque - or apply it to damp skin and scrub lightly with wet fingers to cleanse and exfoliate skin thoroughly!
I start with a base of organic, finely ground Oats [Avena sativa] for its skin-soothing properties, and I add French Green Clay [Illite] to the mix to absorb extra oils and impurities from your skin and to stimulate circulation. I then grind Lavender Flowers [Lavendula officinalis] and Pink Roses [Rosa centifolia] and add them for soothing, clarifying, and their pleasing scent. Finally, I sprinkle Poppy Seeds [Papaver somniferum] lightly into the product, to add some extra scrubby power.

The tin is recyclable and reusable, and the 4 ounces [by weight] of product that it holds will last you a long time, making this scrub/masque not only ecologically sound, but economical as well!
