Silk Cocoons (Natural White)

Description

Who would believe this incredible home of a worm would produce such an opulent embellishment. "Bave" is the tiny single fine strand that is the building tool of the silkworm. The bave can range from 1900 to 4900 feet in a single unbroken length. When dyeing the bombyx silk cocoons they will produce their own shading patterns and color tones each time.

They look so delicate but are very sturdy. They also have a luster that silk alone is known for. I have used them in a variety of projects, spinning, weaving, felting, needleworks, jewerly, scrapbooking, altered art cards, papermaking and the list goes on. Once you begin using these wonders of nature you will find your mind racing with new ideas for these tiny abandoned homes.

Ten (10) all natural white silk cocoons. I have not taken the deceasted worm out of these cocoons. This will give you, the artist complete control as to how you will use it.
