Tiny Bird- (3 x 4 x 1.5)- Acrylic on Wood Cradled Panel
Description
This little bird was based on a Victorianornithological print. He is composed of countless layers of acrylic glaze. He's underpainted in silver, and the pthalo turquoise highlights have been blended with a touch of silver. I finished off the bird with a coat of gloss acrylic, but left the wood untouched.
This is done on professionally-built cradled panels (wood boxes), and uses the wood texture and grain as part of the design. The acrylic pigment, glazes, and other mediums are also professional grade.
