Bedouin Style Tribal Hoops

These lovely, light-weight hoops were fashioned after a pair from Yemen that I saw on one of my favorite belly dance sites. The originals were made of heavy, 12 gauge wire, and were put on back to front to feature the decorative bead above the coiling on the hoops. My hoops will fit standard pierced ears with out having to stretch your holes, and have a loop closure on the back, opposite the decorative bead, and are put in front to back.

I hand forged the hoops out of 20 gauge sterling silver wire, then coiled them with several feet of fine silver wire and fair-trade, Thai silver beads. The front bead is a melon-shaped silver bead from India. The hoops measure 1.25 inches in diameter, and will arrive in a gift box with the artist's card..
