An ultra high quality and might I say whimsical mola folk art animal!

Features layers of traditional reverse applique mola, beautifully hand stitched by a gifted Kuna Indian artist in Kuna Yala, The San Blas Islands, Panama.

This original design is both contemporary & traditional. Those wonderful geometrics are called 'serkan' designs based on ancient Kuna body painting decoration. Colorful, tribal & really stunning! Love the red and green one on the cat's forehead and the two layer spirals all over the cat's body!

Colors are vibrant.. on crisp black and white.

Check out those long white whiskers! Always an important detail on all of my cats. These are called 'seega sueeet' in the Kuna dialect. They are particularly well sewn on this cat.. as is the rest of the hand sewn applique.

She would look great on a bookshelf or next to your computer like mine. Why not start your collection?
