Necropolis of the Banditaccia, Cerveteri, Italia - 2001

After a period of intense rainstorms, many of the Cerveteri Tombs were flooded. The rain, which was still pouring down outside as I shot this, wet my lens and caused an unintentional (but much-appreciated) blur on this photo. There was about 2 feet of water in this particular tomb. The tiny ledge I stood on was incredibly slippery and I was trying to stop shivering long enough to take the photo.

(circa 1972).
