Turkoman Horse Pendant and Agate Necklace

Description

The moment I saw this sterling horse pendant, I fell in love with it. It's beautifully crafted with ornamental inlays of brass. Five bezel-set carnelians further highlight the design.

The styling of the pendant is typical of Turkmen work. The Turkmen historically inhabited an area east of the Caspian Sea.

The necklace is done in brass beads and agate rondelles that closely match the color of the carnelian. There are two sterling beads with brass inlay that echo the inlay on the pendant.

This dramatic piece is a real collector's item.

The pendant is 2-3/8" wide x 2-1/2" high and the necklace is about 17" long, including a sterling hook.
