What is more magical than a tiny world that fits into your pocket?

This pocket diorama features a teeny tiny desert scene which fits into a matchbox.

This diorama is made from a matchbox. I have painted and collaged the outside of the box. The outside is covered with vintage sheet music (cowboy music of course!) and an image of a horse from a vintage children's book.

The inside of the box has a tiny scene of a horse in the desert. I have painted tiny saguaro cacti into the scene and added realistic boulders (okay, they are actually pebbles!) to add some nice dimension to this tiny world. The boulders are permanently attached to the diorama, but the tiny plastic horse (one of my thrift store treasures) is not attached and can be removed and enjoyed.

This tiny desert world is sure to be loved by any lover of miniatures, dioramas, horses, and would make a fun gift for your favorite desert dweller! Keep it in your pocket and have a bit of fun with you at all times, or add this diorama to your curio cabinet or display it on a shelf. Let your imagination take you away to another world or another time.
