Lace Soap Dish
Description
NOTE: I am currently making this dish with 3 blue elevations instead of 4 - that way, it fits a wider range of soap bar sizes!This dish was made from a textured slab. Its pattern was highlighted with Scandinavian Blue underglaze and the dish was then sealed with a cone 6 clear glaze. I hate when my bars of soap get mushy from sitting in a pool of water...therefore, I added four small painted balls of clay that elevate the soap bar and prevent that problem. I curved the edges of the piece upwards to keep the soap bar from sliding out over the sides...I also prefer curves to straight lines!
This piece measures 5.5" x 4". It is food, dishwasher and microwave safe in case you decide to use it for food!
