I love to work with very unique materials for my designs – and for this bag I’ve used an utterly pricy and incredibly beautiful hand-made fabric from Africa - Mudcloth

Nothing makes a fashion statement better than mudcloth
Traditional mudcloth sheets are hand-woven and made one at a time. And it is 100% cotton))
No two pieces are exactly alike, so it is the perfect material for the hand bag with the character))
African artisan’s hand-dye symbols into these fabrics in order to tell stories of their villages and African proverbs. As all hand-woven fabric Mudcloth has some color and structure imperfections with usually make it more interesting. But this particular piece of fabric has an exaptional neat and consistent structure and color))

I pre washed this fabric by hand which tame down the bright colors and made the fabric more organic looking. So – to take care of the bag you can spot wash, hand wash.
Lay flat to dry, then iron as needed.

Each side is lined with interfacing. This bag has a round magnet clasp and 100% cotton lining.
