The listed items are by a new unknown folk artist living in the Atlanta area. She has just started producing some of the most caring and bold acrylics. Most involve her pups that she loves so much. Her "folksy" drawings will endear her to all who are interested in her works and pets......and want to get in on the ground floor of her popularity.
These are done on 16X20X1 stretched canvas. They are very bright, bold and lighthearted......which is the way of all of our pets.

We need only glance at a painting by Janie Wilkins to be drawn into it. The artist uses her love for animals and her lighthearted sense of humor to show our beloved pets at their very best. She makes us feel like we are sitting in our favorite chair snuggled up with our little sweethearts. What is truly amazing is that this is an innate talent having only taken one art class in college - we won’t say when! Something has led her back to the paint brush and we are the lucky ones to receive a painting so lovingly and beautiful done.

About the Artist
The artist shares her cozy cottage in the Atlanta area with her two dogs, Buddy and Ben. She was a feline aficionado until she met Buddy the Boxer puppy 6 years ago. It was love at first sight! Ben the Briard was rescued from an abusive situation by Janie not long thereafter. The "boys" were a true gift from above and she sought out a way to capture on canvas the joy of sharing her life with devoted, fun and energetic dogs. The playful images and bright colors of her paintings make them irresistible!
